Robert Klafter, M.D.

Dr Robert Klafter is Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology. After college at The University of Pennsylvania, he went to medical school at New York University, graduating in 1994. He completed residency and was a Chief Resident at Bellevue Hospital / NYU. After fellowship at Emory University, he returned to New York in 2001.

Dr Klafter is an attending physician at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Lenox Hill Hospital. He holds an appointment as Assistant Clinical Professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Active in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, he has been awarded the Leslie Kuhn Memorial Award for Service to the Department of Medicine.

Dr Klafter specializes in the close care of his patients. Always available and invested in the best outcomes, he seeks to provide intimate, personalized care. This remains the hallmark of his practice.

He is active in the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology and NY State Medical Society. Listed in America’s Top Oncologists, Best Doctors and New York Super Doctors, he looks to give every patient the best possible care required in their time of illness.
